Easy to programme. The ariel included (rubber duck as they call it) is alright if in the vicinity of an airport you are plane spotting at. Otherwise if further out, I would recommend purchasing an extended one. I love that this charges via a USB C connection (the uk adapter plus is included by default along with usb type c cable). Speaker quality is good. Navigating menus is easy, even for a young person. Battery life is amazing! If programming via computer, I would highly recommend the Scan125 Control Program Suite by Nick Bailey as it is free

We have always purchased our radio electronics from Thunderpole. So when I needed a scanner they were the obvious choice. The Uniden 125XLT is probably THE most popular scanner for the price. I monitor aircraft and the Uniiden is performing extremely well. It takes a while to understand how to programme it but after a couple of days that was sorted. The aerial covers all frequencies so recommend purchase one specific to your use.
