Thunderpole 5

Setting up a home base station the choice of antennas was huge. I kept coming back to the thunderpole 5 so ended up ordering it. Quality was good,and assembly was easy. The SWR has always been very low even on a 20 m run. It receives well,transmits well and looks
nice and pleasing to the eye up on the roof . A good around performer in my opinion.

I Purchased the Thunderpole 5 after some research I needed something to take high winds and to be easy on the eye (keep the wife happy) this antenna hit all the right marks.
I cut the whip to the exact size using the instructions that came with the antenna and found it very easy to install.
once I got the whole thing mounted high up on my wall I checked the SWR 1.0 perfect, I transmit and receive very well, I would highly recommend this antenna.

I brought this antenna for my mum as before she was working off a magmount in the loft during this pandemic and wanted to improve her station. Didn't want to spend big money. Saw this fibreglass antenna at a low price, please don't think it's cheap and cheerful and won't perform like the other well known expensive antennas, well it does , good reports so far 15 /25 miles away. So I do recommend this one and actually I will be purchasing one for myself when i go camping as quick to put together and cutting the steel whip to tune was simple with cutting chart supplied on the back of instructions and ended up with a good SWR 👍. I brought this item because my old Antenna was not working. The SWR was in the red. And I put up my new Thunderpole 5. And my reading was 1.1 on all uk 40 and EU Channels.

This was the first time I have purchased from Thunderpole and I can safely say that it will not be the last. Excellent service during the unprecedented times, my order was processed without delay and with next day delivery what's not to like. These guys are superb.

Recently purchased the thunderpole 5 antenna, amazing antenna, cant fault it, well done guys another amazing product from thunderpole.

My order arrived swiftly. I was replacing my home base antenna with a thunder pole 5. The antenna was extremely easy to put together and trim. After putting it up on the side of the house I tested the swr. It was sky high. I called thunder pole and spoke to Colin for advice, I learned more in a 5 minute conversation with him than I had in 10 years of cb'ing. As a result swr is practically zero. Getting and sending strong signals. Thanks to thunder pole!! Great service and excellent advice.

Thunderpole 5: Very well made aerial and prompt first class delivery. I’m still experimenting with it but very pleased so far.

So far my review/ Easy construction and its quality built for the price and the cutting of the whip was straight forward they even give you a guide which I found spot on. It receives 1-2 spoints better then the A99 and transmits the same 1-2 s points (local) so not a mind blowing improvement but never the less better. What i did find it tunes on bascially the same bands as the A99 Happydays well I shall have to give it some DX work now,Cheers Thuderpole it rivals and beats an A99 handsdown
