Thunderpole 1/2 Wave | CB 26-30 MHz AM/FM/SSB Homebase Antenna

The 'Thunderpole 1/2 Wave Silver Rod' is a classic design of CB base station antenna that has been tried and tested for over 30 years. The simple aluminium construction is a full half wave on 27 MHz, meaning a low SWR reading is easy to obtain.

The antenna uses a 'no ground plane' design allowing simple mounting in many situations.

It will perform well in most circumstances and won't be beaten on value for money, it is easy to see why it has been the best selling CB base antenna for many years.

For the money unbeatable

Assembly and fitting straightforward had occasion to contact Thunderpole with a problem ( not the antenna ) and they were first class,when it came to checking the SWR I was amazed first time barely moved on bottom 20 channels and 1.1 on top 20 ! In a nut shell what else for the money would be so easy.

I had a imax 2000 took it down and put this amazing difference the IMAX wasn't very good on receiving and brought in a lot of qrm s6-s7.
This antenna is about 8 times cheaper and no noise and qrm is s1-s2 recieving and transmit are far superior and swr is 1.1 to 1.4 across all bands.
Just goes to show cheap antennas can work better and it's only on a 10ft pole the iMac was on a 32ft pole.

Easy to put together and set up. Nice and easy to handle despite it's length. Marks on sections to get SWR very close to perfect. Very happy with it.
