K-PO DX-5000 Plus | AM/FM/SSB 10/11 Meter Mobile Amateur Transceiver
The 7th generation K-PO DX-5000 Plus is the latest version of this fully featured amateur radio HF mobile transceiver which is pre-programmed the the 10m amateur band (28.000 - 29.700 Mhz) however you can unlock the export band without connecting to a PC (see below).
New features on Version 7 (DX-5000 Plus):

- Program cable connector on the backside of the radio (program cable is optional)

Inside the sleek black design of the DX5000 is an impressive array of features, including: 40w FM/SSB output (12w AM), dual frequency and channel display, 6 programmable bands, echo, scan, PA facility, RF gain, dual watch, time-out timer, voltage display, roger bleep, adjustable power, noise blanker and ANL, built in SWR meter, hi-cut filter and input voltage protection.
The radio has 6 bands of 60 channels that can be programmed for export purposes from 25.615 - 30.105.

Band 2 = 25.615 - 28.305

I bought this radio as an upgrade to the CRT 6900. I didnt want to venture too far into a change of layout regarding the facia, dials and buttons so the new KPO was a no brainer.
The radio arrived well packed the next day by DHL and i was impressed with Thunderpoles service. I dealt with Andy after a few small problems with the settings menu i had. After a quick reset everything was top notch. This is a lot of radio for the money. You can feel the difference in quality of the channel changer and other knobs as you turn /adjust them. The display is also nice on the eyes. Ill give this radio Five stars and would recommend. There are not enough stars to give Thunderpole for their service throughout. Amazing! Cheers Rob MM7BVP

Got the new version of a already good radio,but from first use of this it’s like the last version on steroids!the noise reduction features r amazing and been able to change between a dynamic and elects mic is great.Also variable ssb power is a god send to use with my Rm kl 703 amp.Great fast service from Thunderpole as usual.You won’t be disappointed with this radio and at a fair price.Martied with a Kpo nm-532 power mic,the radio sounds amazing!

I last posted a review on the k-po dx5000 v6 in 2016 which I had brought 2 years previously to that date & a k-po nm532 power mic & had some very good dx contacts & still going strong in 2020

Just bought a k-po dx5000 from thunderpole and I'm delighted with it as I am with the service provided these guys. I spoke to them a few times over the phone and they couldn't have been more helpful. Super fast delivery. Wouldn't use anyone else.

I've had my kpo dx 5000v6 and nm532 power mic for 2 years and still working fine no complaints at all i also remember how fast the delivery was thanks to all at thunderpole

I have bought a k po dx5000 v6 and matching power mic from thunderpole uk excellent delivery no problems then made a big mistake and used different supplier from now on i will only use thunderpole uk
